Its 13th of the month again. Its our 5 years and 8 month anniversary this time. :) We went Cafe Cartel again for dinner despite the heavy load of work. haha..

Hmmm I can't believe that I just finish discussing 2 projects on the MSN; one presentation and one management report! Hmmm But the discussion was funny though with Xian and Jiaying. Haha we were so worried that we are actually be misled by Groupthink since we keep agreeing with each other! Muahaha.. and despite the super dry and hard-core factual journal article, we thought of a way to make it more lively and interactive! :)

With everything confirmed, the real work needs to begin!

Its very dissapointing to know the result for the mid term! I know that I didnt put in much effort, but at least I did what I can to study in the limited time that I have. I did my best and I hate to face the sucky results!!! So, I chose to come here and release my what-so-ever-emotion! I can't even tell what I am feeling. Even the used-to-work hot bathe does not make me feel any better just now! Maybe I need a swim in the cool and refreshing water to make myself freer!

I love what I am doing and enjoy what kind of life i lead but I seriously need more credit for me to repeat the sentence. :(

I know that its difficult to be a student, to wake up and preparing for lesson and then we need to revise the materials. Besides all the heavy readings, many other assignments and presentations need to be accomplish! :P We are so not evolved to do such thing! Our ancestors in the EEA do not need to study and what more present in front of their ape-like frens and lecturer! Since we are so not adapted to it, that's why stress is normal when we can't study one time, do not understand and feel the butterflies in our stomach during exams! hehehe... what a way to justify our behaviors! :P These socio-culturally required task such as getting good grades and getting a high-paying jobs are actually without our awareness an adaptation in the modern world. Those who do not succeed, will not be choosen to be a husband or wife, thus not able to leave any progeny behind! In many million years to come, if our sun does not die, our future descendent may have been well adapted to all these and sweating their way thro' to adapt to new things! :)

Xian turned 21!

Birthday is one of the best event ever! We can get so many presents and angpaos on this special day! Besides, we get to eat good food to0! This is the only day in the entire year along you life time, you get most attention! Don't you think so? On the first day of our live, our family cheers and celebrated our arrival to this novel world. So, birthdays are special not only you get being in the centre of attention, it remind of us how our moms had put to the challenge to carry us around for 9 months and continue to nurture us with our dad of course till NOW! Its not an easy task what more to say its a life time commitment!! :P

However, as we grow or more correctly, as we age we begin to dislike birthdays because it remind us that we are OLD! However, sometime we neglect the grace to age. Some people do not have that chance though~ :P

Alrite, let's get back to XIAN's birthday party! First time I attend a party with so many aunties and uncles! So happening la~ Moreover, all the uncles are like super high and funny! :P

Its the last day of CNY. I almost forgot about it because it feels very very very long since the first day but in fact its only 2 weeks b4. That shows how hectic and busy life lead us to such low awareness of events and everything else. Hmm... But luckily I didnt miss the last 10 minutes of CNY by eating a few cookies! Haha.. Thank you very much QI for bringing the cookies over to my room! :P

A moment of though~

I used to think that God is fair. He created us fairly by distributing the negative and positive characteristics in each indivisual. Hence, the main two disposition that I always think about is beauty and intelligence. Which would I choose if I am given a choice? If I choose to be clever then I would be regard as nerd walking around in school with my extreme thick glasses and mushroom hair style. But if I choose to be pretty, I would might be one of the bimbos. Fair enough to say that I am only mediocre in both that traits.

As I was reading my evolutionary psych, all those thoughts came to zero when researchers actually proposed that being smart and beautiful are products of sexual selection. Results even shows that being more intelligence is linked with being more pretty. HOW AREN'T FAIR??!! :P

Alright, I think I have to much of evo psych. Taking a nap now for later the last minute readings will resume! HAH... I can't wait for the recess week!! :P

My very special day~

13th Feb 2008 is a date I will want to remember for the rest of my life. Cy and I celebrated of monthly anniversary + Valentine's Day on this special day. :D As planned, we went to Mount Faber! First time I took a cable car! Usually I avoided cable car because my mind will start thinking what would happen if anything happened and we are only attached minimally to the wire! :P However, on that day, I just go for it! wahaha

On the real day of Valentine, guess what I did? Hmmm the answer is I stayed in NTU and STUDY! :P hehehe But we had a simple dinner prepared by Cy.

While everyone is blogging about their Valentine's Day celebration, I can now post about pre-Vday preparation done by our Pres Ting for her beloved toolbox! :D Her project involved so many people, Qi being the one who contributed most by provided her the place and all the tool Ting needed to prepare sushi!! Haha.. Me, hmmm just go try out the sushi for her lor.. For the first time, I ate RAW salmon without the soya sauce. Erm, all I can say is after that day, I haven't eaten any salmon till now! Bwahaha!!

First round. Nice isn't it? We did all this just with salmon, cheese and mashed potatoes! Qi and I was super full after eating up this plate.
Next, thanks to Qi idea ya! First time I eat chawanmushi from a plastic not to mention that its a mini toolbox. ><"

V-day~

Its my second Valentine's Day spent in Singapore. Cy and I went out to celebrate yesterday since it was our monthly anniversary as well! The dinner was awesome!!! No pic yet, cause my camera ran out of battery... will soon upload them next week ba. :D

As usual, NTU is so happening! Heart-shaped balloons, flowers, teddy bears, pooh bear, anything which look cute and romantic are everywhere in NTU! :P Some girls look so happy carrying flowers and some gave the I-dun-give-a-damn look without flowers! Haha.. Definitely I am sure every girls want to receive rite? :P

Alright, its just a short update before I return to the disgusting textbook! I am looking forward for dinner later~ :P

Chinese New Year was great! On the first day of new year, my mom said that we all have to put on something red! So, we all did! Look at the pic! Even my sister's doggie named Anne had a red ribbon around its neck! :P

On the second day of CNY, I went to Cy's house for dinner! Look at the many dishes his mom prepared! Well, actually they are all vegetarian but the meal was delicious! Plus, its nice to meet his family! :D

Even though, today is only the 5th day of CNY, the entire festive mood went off once I stepped into the bus heading back to NTU yesterday! Haizz.. However, there is still another occassion coming up! VALENTINE'S DAY! :D

Cy and I exchange present yesterday! Wahaha It was for pre-V-day present exchange! Wahaha!! The lotion from body shop smells damn good! Btw, sorry for the unrotated pic! I am too lazy to upload again!

Happy Chinese New Year!

I can't believe in 2 days time, it will be CNY, a festival where I look upon each and every year! Its when I get to buy many many many new clothes and shoes without getting any scolding from my mom. Usually, for no reason if I buy anything, my mom will nag! Hee.. but during this special occasion, my mom calls me frequently to make sure I buy enough! :D

During this special event too, we all get ang paos! So happy rite, its like getting money without working! Thats very good!

Besides, its also when gambling seems legals! I miss blackjacks and mahjongs sessions! :P

Alright, in less than 8 hours Cy and I will be heading straight home! Wish everyone to have wonderful time with your families! And safe trips too!

After the outing on Friday, I know I ought to start studying for 3 mid term coming up right after the short CNY break but I didnt! :( I slack the entire Saturday morning in the room trying to study biopsych but it turn out to be not productive at all! Then, I went out to meet Jane for shopping! Yes, both of us spent quite a lot and felt damn guilty! Luckily, we didnt do that over-priced express pedicure and medicure! Its crazy... $30 and $23 respectively. At night, I dota-ed. I slept with guilt yesterday.. Boooo


Today is such a cold day. It rained whole afternoon and evening.. and my leg is feeling so painful due to muscle ache for no apparent reason! What happened? Cy said I sleep walk and went to run around at night. He is mad rite? But still dunno why my thigh hurts! T_T but at least something good is I spent 6 hours on one chapter of Cognitive Development, and at last I completed one chapter! Any tips for speed reading. I am like a crawling tortoise!



Oh, and I was looking at the calendar for the entire Febuary, MAN, I know, its gonna be BUSY BUSY BUSY!

Going home on this coming Tuesday, celebrate CNY, chiong for 3 mid term, V-day, Xian's BD party, suffering midterm week, swimming meet for WSC and finally mid term BREAK! :)

Outing!

Went out to Bugis and Chinatown yesterday! Finally, I bought 2 skirts and a t-shirt! It was way too crowded in Bugis street that I couldn't buy anything more than that! I wanted to buy a pair of shoe, but then, due the the crowd, i didnt manage to get back to that particular shop! Haiz! And, the worse part is Cy and I got stranded in the middle of the traffic between Bugis Junction and Bugis street twice! Now, you can imagine how crowded it was! :P

After that, I manage to complete my pressie for my secret Manic for V-day's present exchange! Too bad that the other 3 Manic aren't around for exchanging gifts! Next year k? :D

So, after shopping, we headed to Chinatown point for Annalaksmi! Guess what! We met Qi and Daniel in the train! Such a coincidence-lar! Cy was the one spotted them, but I think he was too speechless to say anything, he just kept saying "wah lau, wah lau, wah lau". ehehehe..

Annalaksmi was nice. Eat until both of us were so bloated that we could hardly walk! All spicy food which are good. Hehe

I went WSC today alone! Bleah, Ting pangseh bacause she has a lot of readings to do! When I reach the building, I got shock to find out that there is only 5 of us who are present, to be more precise there are only 2 who was present (me and Desrie) the other 3 were seniors! Hmm, but actually I was happy to go today! The session was great because we talked instead of playing who-what-har. Hehe... While talking, we did some CNY's decorations with the red packets! We didnt really prepare ourselves. In the end, the boys are the one started doing the cranes and tanglung! :D
