loss

If you read the Straits TImes today, there is a huge section dedicated to personal interviews on how they and their loved one fight for days to live and how eventually, they need to part and how the remaining one managed to cope.

Its really touching to read on how these individuals managed to cope with their beloved death. The process of knowing how many months you are left with is such a torture yet, these brave people managed to pull it thro' and come out of it stronger. Now, I know the true meaning of resilience.

Death is still something very intangible and abstract to me. Its not that I never experience losses thro this cruel means, its still very difficult to utter exactly what it is! The one we cared and loved simply just vanished and dissapeared. Yea, one may say "She is gone in life, but remain alive in your memories" But we are beings who need to grab these tangible things to know we are alive. We need to talk, see and communicate to feel that person. So, perhaps, that's the reason underlying our endless pursuit for tangible rewards and eventually meaningless strings of A's.

We simply want to feel we are living!
