what an experience...

Yesterday was a tiring but extremely fun day. Cy, Yip, Beng and I went ECP. We cycled the ENTIRE east coast park. Seriously, it was a long stretch... LOL

Yip and Beng

Dino and I on our rented dual-bicycle... I like it this way, sitting behind is more relaxing. :P

After cycling for the whole 2 hours!!! We went Geylang for dinner...:)

The famous frog porridge. I kinda like it though I am not a fan of porridge at all. So, i think it worth a try. The frog was tender but a lil disgusting if you think of how it looks like before the kill.... Of course, I didnt bother cause it was actually quite delicious. LOL

After dinner, we went walk walk on the even number lorongs... Hah! Definitely, everyone knows what Geylang is famous for besides the food rite... For the very first time, we see "them". Most of them are from China. Some from Indon and Philiphine. It was like fashion show... they stand by the road, wearing super low-cut and sexy clothes and make-up until so pretty. Surprisingly, most of them who are from China are very pretty! haha...

What an experience today... walked, cycled, ate, saw, laughed...

I have just read 2 of my friend's blog... they both talked about the disaster that happened recently in SiChuan which had swept away almost 60,000 of lives... Seriously, that is really very frightening isn't it. People lost their loved ones, the so called 'safe' homes, properties and many others. This is wat we call us traumas.

Then, it strike me when I wonder why didn't I really bothered to read on the papers what is going on there... I never watch a news about it neither. Maybe many of you also did the same as me. We never really want to understand the details of when, how and what happened! Never to feel ashamed or guilty if you feel you do not heck care about it.

The paper Dr Cha and I have been working on is about emphathy-avoidance. In short, it focuses on why people choose to avoid looking or getting involve in situations when they could anticipate problems of others. We, vulnerable beings are too easily distracted and put down by others. Hence, perhaps, we have evolve evolutionarily to avoid unconsciously to these probable realistic but cruel truth of happenings around us.

Nevertheless, I feel so sorry for the victims of the disasters. Monetary help, in my opinion is never gonna make them feel any better. They would rather live in poverty if they had, than to undergo this terrible unpredicted incident. The incapability to help make me feel so obligated to avoid seeing them in pain. When there is a will, there is a way... seems sooo unlikely...

updatez... updatez... updatezz...

Last Wednesday was the last match for Champion's League final. ManU vs Chelsea. What a big match to discuss about... but don't worry I am not blogging much about that. In short, the match was interesting as well as lengthy. It lasted for 90+30 minutes and ended with penalty shots. Cy and I stayed up to watched it in my house from 230 till 6 in the morning... *faints* Before the long night, we went for the Taming Sari ride and Malacca river cruise. :D

Taming Sari. 80 metres from ground. Only RM 8 if you are a Malaccan and a student at the same time. If not, RM20! So, ex... LOL

View from the top...Its not very high. I was hoping that it could be taller than 80m. But, Cy got a few seconds of height-fright at the top. LOL

Malacca river cruise. It was only RM 5!! Cy and I was so shocked to hear that price. Haha... Btw, the ride was 45 minutes long... Not much though, but we are able to see very different view of malacca from the river. Some old bridges that many Malaccans never used before. Probably, our ancestors did when they came to work or tradings...

Banana cupcakes that I made. It was good! :D

Yesterday, Cy and I went Annalaksmi for dinner! I was totally bloated after the meals with one Chappati, one tosai, 2 scoops of rice, 4 mini potatoes, some flour thingy, vege, and dessert! Oh my gosh, as I list, I feel like fainting... ate so much! Luckily, my stomach didn't explode! Never gonna do that again man! :P

Dessert that we had in Clarke Quay.

i'm back in NTU

Sorry for the lack of updatez. I have been terribly busy at home with some cookings, bakings, TVs, facials, spa, outings, and readings.

Project with Dr Cha in writing a paper had started. Wow, as expected, there are dozens of readings to be completed. I only completed 2 and now trying very hard in to focusing on the third one! LOL. Both Dr Cha and I agreed that there are constant distractions... hehehe :)

I met up with Ivy too last Sat at Havana. No pictures, we were busy catching up and chit-chating. It always feels good to get to meet her up once a while and start talking nonsense. I think the dinner was about 3 hours. It was suppose to be longer actually but blur Cy went Harper's instead of Havana. Blur.... :P

Came back to NTU this afternoon and was shocked and terrified by the fact that the school did not receive my hall applications. Its a long story and Im damn devastated by it. So, shall not want to elaborate. In short, I may have no room again next semester. SUCKS...

One thing very different at home is that we DRIVE instead of sbs buses and mrt... LOL I would say I prefer driving best... :)

Mother's Day celebration

We didn't eat out cause our old man need to take care of his food intake. Haizz... yet my dad doesnt seem to really accept his health condition... LOL... so, I thought of preparing some healthy meal for my family... no deep frying, no oil... steaming is simply easy and good.

The end of the season...

I have just got back from the Mamak stall with Cy. We had just finished watching the last match of the English Primier League season. During the last day of the season, all matches started at the same time to ensure no psychological stressors or whatsoever. Anyway, the winner of the cup was not sure until the last match. ManU and Chealsea both with exact score, and if both wins, goals difference will determine who wins! Since all matches start at the same time, we needed to find on mamak stall that shows ManU match. Wanted to go bamboo but in the end, we ended up in mamak opposite Thomsom. The shop fella is a manU fan, haha so he surely on ManU match. Luckily we were there 40 minutes earlier, we managed to get a seat in the middle.

A prata and teh tarik during football was awesome. Sometimes, I got so attracted to the TV, I forgot to taste my prata. :P LOL

Anyway, ManU won!!! 2-0 against Wigan. Ronaldo scored by penalty and Giggs scored with rooney's assistant!

Man of the match, Ronaldo. He is really damn funny when he takes free kicks. He will take weird steps backwards... take really deep breath before the run towards the ball. Hmmm a bit "cho-hi". Sometimes, I could not take his arrogance!

My favourite, Wayne Rooney is damn cute (ugly but adorable). He did not score in this last match but attempted many times. LOL

Someone all of us should be proud of, Park Jisung, should be the one and only Asian, able to be playing for such big club, and win the title! I am impressed by his stamina...

:P

There are tonnes of stuff to update actually. But I am so sien-tiao with the slow internet connections and the fact that I am unable to upload pictures!!! Shall do it when Im back in NTU.

Meanwhile, I would like to wish every Mothers in the world, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Upon typing this, I recall an incident that happened last week. I met a schoolmate of mine in pasar malam. I bump into her, and smiled at her, thinking that she will smile at me too but she DIDN't. I got shocked and wondered why. Hmmm then I noticed that she is actually pregnant! *shocked and speechless* She is only 22 and I am not sure if its shotgun or she is happily married and decided to start a family this early. On second thought, 22 years old is not young for our ancestors to start giving birth! Due to the modern requirement for us to be graduate students, works and establish financial security, only then marriage comes to our mind. By then, we are all almost 30 (this does not include meimei!! Hate you MM *wluek*). No matter what, I still salute her bravery to start a family so young! Some thing I have not really though of yet... :P
Once again,

HAPPY MOTHERs' DAY...

updatez...

Sorry for the lack of update... I am in total slacking mode currently! :D In less than 1 week time, I finished up 2 HK drama series already! LOL Can't stand it... My dad keep 'hur-ing' at me each time he sees me in front of the TV, lying down on his bed, under his blanket, with his air-cond on with a cup of coffee.. :) Each time I finish one series, he said "So how? no more already.." Hehe... I told him, " Dun worry. Mummy will buy new one" LOL .... *smiles*

Definitely, I have been eating a lot a lot. The first night I reach MLK, I went supper with my parents already. Still Mlk's zi char nicer. Hehehe Can't compete with Sg's one! LOL Just had steamboat the other day for dinner. Oh man!!! I must have been gaining more and more weight! :( So, each time after a meal, I will be hooked to the threadmill. Hah! The threadmill is also positioned in front of the TV. I am paying all my tv debt so quickly.. haha

Facial was relaxing the day before yesterday. My facialist says my skin is very dry. Thanks to the extreme hot and dry weather in MLK! *cry*

I received Dr Cha's reply finally today and will be going back to Sg for a few days next week. Manic, meet up? Is Stephie back? :)

Alright, I gtg prepare, going out for lunch already... take care ya... :P

Its a very special day today. LOL cause my Dino turn 22! Officially, he is gonna be elder than me for 3 months only then we will be same age again. *wluek*
Happy Birthday Dino.
We will be celebrating his birthday at Bamboo Hut today. We chose that place even though there are many other nicer ambience restaurant in Mlk, yet that place is very meaningful to us. :)
Hope you enjoy this very special day.
*smile*

I am home now! The air-cond feels damn cool and nice. Yay, do not need to depend on the slow motion fan in Hall. :P

Finally, ITS OVER!!! :D

Woo Hoo... its finally over! It was suppose to officially over yesterday at 330pm but I ended at 3 pm! :P Many people walked out of the exam hall early, maybe the paper was too easy for them, or too anxious to end fat, or there are some 'kelian' people like bearbear who still have another paper at 5pm. (eh next time do arrange ur timetable properly k.. LOL). Well, I find the paper ok, but it was only 30%, so for questions I dunno, I didnt really go think think think... just forget it, and Im really looking for it to be over! :P

Cy came to find me, and we headed straight to Sentosa for Songs of the sea show. :P The show was at 740pm, so we hang around in Sentosa for about 2 hours. Hmmm.... feel so slack... LOL

Songs of the sea was nice, not facinating, but worth trying for the effects, efforts and also the fire works at $6. LOL (No pic will be posted on that, maybe later cause its in my camera and my cable in at hall 13)

After the show, we had our dinner at Shin kushiya.

We were tired yet excited. Can you imagine that, we can forget about the routine study life and begin to lead a lil no-discipline life. LOL I love holidays. :P
We reached back to NTU earlier, it was about 10pm I think.

We started chit-chating for whole 2 hours!! Can die, how can we still talk so much despite the fact that on average, I talk to him for more that 2 hours a day, for 5 years liao! :P (when I say talking, it means we do ntg else but talk... )

After a game of DOTA, its FOOTBALL time! Man, I feel so badly influenced by this Dino. :P The match started at 245pm, so we had supper! Hehe, mee+crab stick. *yummy* yet, *guilty*

Okay, the match between Liverpool and Chelsea was super long. After the 90 minutes, extra time somemore, *faint* I couldn't take it anymore, as I doze off a few times in the TV room, so gave up, and come back to sleep. Guess who wins in the end, when we check the score today? Chelsea lar.. sucks!!! That means that ManU will be fighting against them for both Premierleague and championleague cups!!! *sighs*

It feels so nice to wake up without the irritating rings from my HP's alarm! And the first thing was Dota again! :P

Going for lunch now, JP later, and HOMEEEE!!!

Till then... HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
