Home~

Went home last Friday. The purpose was quite obvious if you just see the following pictures~ :) One word to describe the celebration: AWESOME.
We went Nadeje. The food was tasty, the cakes were super good and the price was reasonable!
Nothing much to elaborate though as its quite self-explanatory. Oh, the picture quality was quite bad bacause my dad's phone was only 2 mega pixel and ya, i forgot to bring my own phone!

I love this photo~

With both my sis.

updates...

I am home right now.

The only place I feel safe and away from stress and SAO! I hate SAO. They really make everyone's live miserable in NTU. arghh.. I dun want to elaborate why they sucks but they do! Seriously~ When I think what might possible happen if the thing I am so afraid to happen happens, I feel like dying. *cross fingers* I choose to think positively and lie to myself that bad things aren't gonna happen to me! *weak smile* The lie doesnt sound convincing anymore as there are already bad-enough things happened!!! *scream*

Last thursday was Union day, which is like a day when there are a few hours where lessons are cancelled and people are suppose to vote for the committee in the constituent clubs~ Yes, Cy got his President position for his school. Its a good news but come to think about it, he has got more and more responsiblities now! Meetings, studies, works, blah blah blah, will he have time for me! :( So, its not a very good news after all! :P

Tuition for the boys on thursday. Well, the boy I taught was really quite weak. He doesnt know what is 'square' and 'square root' Hmmm... tough.

*blink blink* I am turning 22 this coming Wed! Gosh, I am feeling so old..................... hate it!

Plans

Its not easy,
what more if we want to plan ahead,
plan the future,
each and every steps,
carefully and thoughfully,
with high hopes and dreams,
that as long as we begin early,
as long as we prepare from the start,
as long as we put in lots of effort,
lots of time and energy,
we will reap what it takes,
but, its easier said than done,
the longer you plan,
the longer you wait,
the higher the hope,
the bigger the dissapointment.

Yes,
that's the truth,
as well as reality,
but who knows,
what we plan may not be the best,
as the Almighty knew,
He got better one for us.

weekend...

Its already Sunday night. The temporary escape from hectic weekdays has finally came to an end. But, I think things are slowly getting to settle down and confirmed. :)

I was in the library studying with Cy yesterday and guess what... Reading suddenly become enjoyable. Most likely, I was enjoying the peace in the library and so much of concentration needed to understand the text forced me out from reality! Its weird huh? I used to hate reading and right now I begin to find the enjoyable part of it. Its good I think~ :) Then the rest of the semester, I shall not complaint about reading! LOL...

Then, we went for a swim. Its the first swim since the semester had started! Hopefully we get to swim as often as possible but Cy is getting busy with his rally and nomination stuff to become his school club's president. :) Swimming was fun but I think its overcrowded yesterday during evening. But mom nagged me for going in the noon! She says I look ugly when I am tanned! :P

Its my fourth session of my tuition today. Began to get use to it though and I am like so addicted to the Mr Bean in Chinese Garden MRT station. Each time I go, i buy pancakes... Stop it Mr Bean... I shall not buy anymore! hehe...

I will go back to my textbook now. I need to read more as I am going back to MLK this coming weekend. yay..!

Midnight jog at 11pm later.

Overwhelmed~

So quickly, the semester had been moving away from the word 'started' and very quickly as well it will soon be 'midst' and without me realising, I am sure I will be typing the word 'ended'. Yes, time flies as we all know but the process that we have to go through is sometimes quite difficult.

Its Week 2, and since its a new semester meaning many freshies just joined NTU, this week is the CCA booth week. There are so so many CCA booths ranging in interest as well as activities in the north spine. There are many stalls selling clothes, food, bags... blah blah blah. I didnt really have the time to walk pass them though as I was dutying in NTU Psych Society for 2 days. With that, my school day (tues, wed) strecthes like from early morning till late in the evening. *tired*

Not only that, the SAO had revised their stupid point system for hostel next academic year. Volunteer in WSC only gets 3 instead of 5. That is totally unfair and sucky for the time and effort we put in! Then, to make it even suckier, I wanted to run for main comm for Psych Society but its also 3 points!!! SAO really pissing me off! How can they be so cruel right, tier 4 clubs deserve more than that!!! *angry*

Besides, I am still very angry that I didnt get URECA. And I hate myself for not getting even better results!!! argh...

Adding on to my misery, my stomach betrayed me! I have been like going to the toilet so often and its interupting my lectures and tutorials. I pon WSC today because of this also! :( I have no appetite to eat.... *sad*

Okay.... I wanted to contrast the above with some happy stuff but currently, I can't think of any! I need to seek for more stuff to be happy of! I still want to maintain my personal right to be happy! :P

:)

Last Saturday was Singapore's National Day. I have been here for 2 years already but I never went to watch the National Day Parade. Probably, I prefer to stay in NTU to enjoy the holiday ba. But in NTU, if its public holiday, its super boring! Swimming pool, library and most canteens are closed! But luckily, Genos had the BBQ on that day.

Then, on Sunday, I went for my second session of tuition. My tutee is this little primary 6 girl who weights only 20kg! Gosh, she is super skinny and underweight lar. The teaching went quite well as I begin to understand more to the exam and oral format. :)

Monday, it was again a holiday. Replacement as National Day fell on a Saturday! Yay, I think Singapore begin to revise their holiday system. :) Give us more holiday pls! :) Oh, I went for dim sum buffet with fellow Malaysian friends and get to know a few new freshies. But I think I ate too much, I suffer from stomach ache on the night...

We had a lot a lot of variety of dimsum, pao, chee cheong fun, egg tart, etc etc...

==========

School finally resume today after the long weekend break. I am lagging behind my readings. But I am not in the mood of studying. No idea why...

Oh, I am really looking forward for mooncake festival. Lots of mooncakes... lotus seed fillings, ice creams ... Yummy~

Monday, August 11, 2008

Yammie msg-ed me just now when I was in JP. She said she received email about EURECA. I really aimed for this. Really! So, I was worried and kan-cheong at the same time.
In the end, I realise that 4.65 is not enough. :(
*sad*

human...

Yes, that's what we are. Homo Sapien, the scientific name we name ourselves. We regard ourselve as top in the evolution ladder. By this, it means that we clasify ourselves as the most sophisticated animal because we adapt well, we speak, we communicate, we are civilised, we can think and all possible way we reason to be justify our rank in the animal world.

When I woke up today, it was raining. I sighed as walk to the toilet thinking that, "sucks, why it rain! I wanted to swim". Then, I recalled the few days before when I was hoping so hard that it will rain as the weather was super hot and dry. Yet, when it rained finally this morning, I gave no sign of appreciation but sighed! Even animals appreciate every moment given by the nature. They quickly hibernate at times of winter, and happily return to hard work in collecting their food when winter stops. So, I begin to ponder, when we classify those little cute animals as animals, did we miss out ourselves as well? They may not know how to speak, communicate or think, but at least, they never take things for granted, they don't waste food, don't scold vulgarities, they don't whine,... they are just plain innocent.

Perhaps, innocence is another adaptation evolutionarily! If it is, then we are the one still in the process to achieve more adaptive values so that we stop whining, stop complaining, stop fighting, stop cursing, stop taking things for granted, stop the crimes and the list go on...

p/s: if any readers felt offended just because I compare human to animal, I am sorry ya... its a just moment of reflections. :)

Genos BBQ

Today, GENOS had a bbq gathering in hall 13. Well, I must say that I have never thought that GENOS will have another gathering especially after the new MSA camps, which means now, there should be new OG. Yet, the juniors are really very nice and organized this event. :)

Its great again to meet them again though not all of them. :) I have not been meeting them or catching up with them as everyone is very busy with our own stuff and all... :)

BBQ. They bought a lot of wings, fillet and sausages. :) Marshmallow was the most delicious! Hah. After the meal, which I ate quite a lot, I wanted to jog, but Cy was tired. bleah~

Cheng Yong and I. He just came back from an exchange to India. haha.. :)

Wan Chia and She weay.

The juniors even prepared a bottle of Chivas! Can die. They really finish up le...

Below is You Liang. The first to be drunk. LOL I drank little too but was okay~ hee

I can't believe it!

It is only first 5 days of the beginning of the semester in Year 3, yet I felt as though I am burned out! Gosh, what happened?!! It is the first week of the semester, so there was no tutorials only lectures but I guess there are just too much too much to handle for a fresh start from holiday to busy life again! I enjoy living a busy and productive life, so I think I need to re-think, re-plan, and re-organize! hee, after I finish my complaints here! bleah~

I woke up at 830 am today because I need to walk to NIE library to paste the Psychology Society Election posters up! Then, I settled down at on of the table to do my statistic's homework. Oh, the NIE library looks very nice and the quiet ambiance seems a like a new place for me to study! yay...

But, NIE is so unfriendly toward NTU students. We cant use the internet or computers! So, I walked back to LWN to check if there are any notes to print. I met Augustine in the library. Hah. Lucky~ So, we went for CS100 (comm studies) lecture together. Heng he got the slot for this elective, or else I will be totally alone. When we walked in to the lecture, wow! so impressed that the LT was actually fulled. haha...

The lecturer was okay but I find the lecture too lengthy! Its suppose to be 3 hours but there is an hour break in between. Haiz... Its like 4 hours of lec with a lunch break. We had lunch together and went to NIE to buy the textbook before going back for lesson. This means that I went NIE twice! very far! After buying the txt, I spotted a stall selling Ben&Jerry ice cream for $3 for the small tub lar. Eee so tempted.

Haha... guess what. I made my third trip to NIE for ben&jerry after lecture!!! *faint* So tired of walking. But I still walked back to hall to put the ice cream into the fridge before falling asleep! *tired*

The nap was like only 20 minutes. Got up, and headed to Chinese Garden for my first session of tuition! The primary 6 girl seems nice. I am suppose to tutor her in Eng, Math and Science. I can tell u hor, Pri 6 maths is really NOT EASY. paiseh when I got stucked! :P

Finally, I reached NTU at 9pm. late! Had dinner with Cy and now blogging! If you read this post and find it very tiring, I am physically tired ok!!! :P

I need to bathe and sleep~ Nite.

Schooling days...

School had been fun with Meimei, Stephie and Yam back from their GIP... Its been half a year I think since I last sat beside Meimei or stephie in lesson. Haven't really got a chance to attend lecture with Yam as she is always a pon-ner! wluek~

Statistic and Issues in adolescence lecture were superb! Both the lecturer were s good that I paid full attention in the entire 2 hours lecture. *Impressed* However, lecture on Psych adjustment and mental health wasn't very impressive. She is kinda not prepared, and stephie was sooooo unhappy that the lecture was contentless. Haha... Didn't really learn much. Hopefully when we get to the subsequent lecture, she will improve! :)

So, this semester's time table should be fixed and shall not have any changes. Subjects that I will be taking:

HP305: Advanced statistic
HP307: Psychological adjustment and mental health
HP314: Issues and Concern in Adolescence
HMJ1 : Japanese Language level 1
CS100: Fundamental in Communication Studies

There should not be any changes unless my appeal for forensic science is successful! Hee... Which is quite unlikely lar. sien!

Today was like super busy! Meimei, stephie and I walked around S 3.2 like mad people. Level after level pasting posters for the upcoming NTU Psychology Society Election. Anyone interested? :) Then, we settled down at subway for a early dinner at 530pm! haha... Then, met up with Ting for WSC.

It was a first session of this new semester. The boys were all new, only like 3 familiar faces. We had t-shirt design for today's session. Haha.. Of course, almost all didnt really draw properly. Just made fun of each other. Only 2 or 3 did some proper design! Hehe... Sam told us that 2 years back, the boys design a shirt with dragon on it! Gosh, and they actually printed that dragon t-shirt for WSC! LOL.... funny~

Next week, we will begin tuition session with the boys to prepare them for N-level (something like PMR) examination. Hmm... I think I should be teaching science. :) Hopefully, everything will turn out well! :D

All right, there are readings starting to accumulate but I have no motivation to read at all! Shall start maybe next week? *grins*

Busy busy busy!

First day of school...

4th of August marked the beginning of year 3 sem 1 in NTU. It also marked the new third year in Singapore. Time flies and Singapore no longer is a foreign place anymore. :) NTU also itself becoming like a second home.

I went for my first lecture today, Psychology at workplace. It was interesting and far more worth taking than statistics. So I had a second thought of dropping stat and take psycho at workplace instead! Stat is useful but its damn difficult. So headache! Oh, on the bright side, from getting no electives at all, I managed to add Japanese Level 1 and Fundamental in Communication Studies. :)

I bought 2 txt book today, one core and jap, so sim tia!!! $50 le. Faint~ And there are a few more to go! Sucks... Waste so much money each semester on buying books. :(

After lecturer, Cy and I went Jp for dinner and movie with Qi and Daniel. We had KFC and watched Mummy 3. Erm... Its really not very nice as ting had commented. The story line a bit cacat and Michelle yeo was a dissapointment. She totally didnt fit the role of a witch! Cy complaint that the director's hand too shaky. So, he felt dizzy after the movie! LOL Other than that, it was ok-lar. Qi finds the mummies cute!

Then, we went NTUc for some grocery shopping! Cy and I have been stocking up alot! Biscuits, cookies, ice cream, 100plus, maggi mee, etc etc.... gosh...

Alright. I can sense the busy semester starting now!!! Need to open up my abandoned notebook and start organizing! Bleah~

Food again... :)

Cy and I went out again! Gosh, I think we have been spending so much this holiday! Feeling extremely guilty, I took up a tuition near Chinese Garden, per hour $20. Want to earn back some money, save some money for year end trip... :)
We went Vivo City as we wanted to try some French food! The place is good, the price was reasonable, and the food was delicious! :)
My hot chocolate. I took the empty cup as I find it very interesting. They serve me this way, and I need to pour the hot chocolate into the cup. It was absolutely yummy! Hehehe

Cy with his Iced Cappucino.

My Fre(n)sh chicken tartine.

Cy's Authentic Tartine.

Dessert... apple crumble.

My chocolate brownie... :)
After the dinner, we watched Money no enough 2! Its a big big hit in Singapore now besides mummy 3. The cinema was so packed despite so many time slots! Can die.
The movie was funny but at the same time quite sad. So, I laughed and cried. Quite stupid... :P
============
We stayed in hall until evening before heading to IMM. The weather in Singapore these days is really very warm! Its been days since it last rain! Haiz... I hope it rain tonight....
Oh, we had dinner in Ajisen Ramen. The food was good but the ambience was quite bad! Noisy, cramped, little personal space...
The sides we had.

Cy's Hotate ramen

My pork curry ramen.

Enough of food! Its time to exercise? Actually, I have been lazy. Only went swimming once since I came back from home. But school is starting on Monday. See how lar~ Hehehe

Another outing before school reopens~

Cy and I want to make the last few days before the semester starts more meaningful! Hehe... so we had tonnes of plans ahead... In fact, we are quite worn out but its ok... :P
So, yesterday, we headed to ECP for cycling! We just love that place. Even thought of staying in east after graduation just for the east coast park... :) But its a lovely place.. Seriously!
We rented 2 bicycles for 2 hours. Cycled the entire 2 hours... yet its fun! :D

We stopped by a jetty to see people fishing. The people fishing are actually quite lazy. Some of them used celotape and type their rods to the rails so that they don't need to hold it. Totally loose the sense of fishing. Haizz...

Then, we went to IKEA for some swedish food! yay... the chicken wings and meatballs were yummy!!

This is some chicken with swedish herb thingy. so-so only.

Cy posing with our newly bough little table. Oh, we bought a tiny stool for me also! LOL

==============

Today, went to kepo-kepo at Psychology orientation day. Quite funny though as the seniors had to pretend one of those disorders. They had alcoholics, schizophrenics, pynomania (people who likes to play with fires), echolalia so on and so forth.

Cy told me that he happen to know this freshie from his school who suffers from copralalia. Well, it means involuntary scoldings of vulgarities or obscenities. Its quite saddening and at the same time disrturbing right. He just non-stop and unconsciously swearing throughout the entire day. F**k, F**k,F**k, or Cb, Cb, Cb.

Hmmm, quite kelian. How is he gonna face new friends, prof, employers?? Haizz... but many people who are unaware of this kind of disorders may ended up hating him. Quite sad~

All right, enough of disorders... Going to bed now.
