bak kua

Bak kua is a devil for people who are calorie-conscious like me! But it is also a motivation for me to be diligent! After eating it yesterday, I swept, mopped my room and did laundry! Today, after swallowing the entire piece, I went swimming! :D

I think Bak kua is a good friend of chocolate! They both have same effects on me!

irony of life.

I was in Cy's room eating Bak Kua just now! So delicious but it was kinda oily! Its bak kua, what you expect right. Btw, its a home made one so should be cleaner ba! :P We bought some other CNY's cookies and pineapple tart too! The red color packing of the bak kua totally make me feel the warmth of the festive!

Then, Qi came my room to discuss about the coming up experiment that will start soon this Friday! We were quite lost due to the lengthy procedures! I guess we just need to try it out this Friday! Then, we got excited about the new shimmer she bought from online! Super cheap, 5 for $10 only!! Such a good deal and all 5 are nice colors! So I didnt kope from her! Have fun coloring ur eyes ya! hehe

Then, when she left my sister nudged my in msn! She told me a very horrible horrible horrible news!! Her fren's mom just passed away! I was so saddened and terrified upon hearing the news! She is only 17, and her mom just leave so suddenly! Besides, her parents are divorced and she only stays with her mom! I cannot imagine how she going to continue living all alone!!! T_T However, I know she won't read my blog but i really want to send her my deepest sympathy and wish that she can be strong!

hmmm, then I started wondering, when we are in the best of our life, without worries, it could be the worse moment of another person!

I hate Monday!!

I am sitting in front of my laptop blogging with energy only in my 10 fingers! All I can say is I am totally tired as a result of 4 hours of lecture from 830am till 1230pm, one hour of lunch break, back to tutorial classroom for another 2 hours, then a short one hour of nap break and then finally my school day concluded with another 2 hours of management tutorial! That's why I feel as though all energy has been sucked out by some invisible alien (is ur friend at work ar UFO? :P)

How I wish that the management tutorial will wrap up my day but in fact, the night is still young, the book still awaits me to read it, my eyes still need to stay open, my mind still need to stay alert and my neurons still need to fires!! (oops, too much of biopsych!)

Hmmm, had dinner at Canteen 3 just now with Cy, ting, toolbox, xian and SS and we all found out that MAYBE next semester onwards 2/3 of all double rooms in all hall except 3, 7 and 16 will be accomodating 3 people! How can that happened? Such small rooms to be converted to triple room? @#$#@%@#$! Crazy! Maybe only hall 4 can, since they have such big space in their room! :)

Oh ya, my sister just sms-ed me that my family just bought a new car today! What a surprised since my parents didn't mention about getting one! so happy la my sister that she will own one car for herself when she gets her license! :D

HOME!

I had a day off without books, notes and any journal articles. Felt so free and relaxed. :D Facial + eye lash perm took whole 5 hours! Man, I lied down for so long and I kept falling asleep! This time the eye lash perming wasn't that succesful compared to those few times b4 this. It is not curled up at all and it was quite painful when the beautician tried to remove the curler! Ouch!! But the facial was comfortable! :P

I really feel the CNY mood when I was home compared to when Im in NTU. My house is so well decorated with all the red lanterns and CNY's ornaments! :P

Then, my whole family and I baked cookies together! :P I really can't wait for the real CNY! It feels so good to be home! :P

When I stepped right in to NTU's compound, the entire CNY's mood just wore off like that and the piling up readings just slap me right on my face. T_T

I wanted to read that 3 article for this coming tutorial on Monday but I left them all in 13 and I won't be back in 13 until tmr night! Booo... Sien

Going home...

In a few hours time, I will be in the bus heading home! :D Happy indeed that I can finally go back and have some good rest and see my family! Besides, I can't wait for facial tomorrow! My face needs facial badly! I couldn't stand all the pimples and blemish all over my face! :P

I feel bad though that I will be pon-ing evolutionary psych lecture tmr!

It was very cold tonight at the bus stop,
Each blow from the wind pierce through me like an arrow,
I couldn't even shiver to make myself feel better,
too numb to even say a word about the cold,
compared to the stress in me,
the cold was nothing at all.

I hate to admit that I am stressed at week 3 of the semester,
the UNunderstandable readings feels like deep deep ocean,
Each word I try to read just drown me,
and I get more confused and choked by it,
I hate journal articles!!!

Weekend.

Last Friday, Cy and I went to VivoCity! Its only the weekend of week 2, thus we feel its so stupid to stay back in hall to study! :D No special occasions le. But I wonder why so many look at me and ask, "why u wear so nice today, where are u going?" Hmm.. I looked myself in the mirror and see nothing really special though. Haha.. maybe the rest of the other days I wear too casual ba.

Sushi Tei was nice as usual but also as pricey as usual! :P However, I still think Sun is still the best! I am sure MM and Yam are missing Sun! Rite? :P

Super spicy sushi role. Soft shell crab coated with SPICY fish floss..My face turned so red due to this. I am so NOT going to order it again... I think spicy and sushi just don't blend! :D

Happy people after the delicious meal. But I think without dessert dinner is just INCOMPLETE! So, after vivo, we walked around and Cy manage to buy this second piece of CNY's clothes! And I get nothing for CNY but a new bikini! :P Now its no longer new cause i wore it that day already! Wahahaha..

Choc cake from Awfully Chocolate.. Its moist and soft! But I think I still prefer secret recipe's cake.. But anyway, that two pieces are free! Woo Hoo.. Don't be jealous ya!

Okies, stop indulging in food fantasy, and i need to track back to WEEK 3! So many things to do!! I got depressed each time I open up my note book! There is a good news from P, he decided to postpone our mid term to the following week. Yep, its great that we don't need to study during CNY... but its really unfortunate that the week he had set coincides with another mid term for another core!!! :P That means that we need to take 2 essay format mid term on a same day that is 18/2. How V-day is going to be?? Haiz!

finally..

I guess everything is kinda settle down after days of thinking and thinking whether I should take 5 or 6 subjects in this semester! In the end, I firmly and strongly decided that I AM TAKING 5 SUBJECTS! :P I know that I am back to square! But its never easy to make that decision as I might regret later on when I am in my final year! Haizz.. after weighing and measuring my ability and hectic lifestyle as well as the possible stress that might build up in me if i take 6 subjects, I quit from being irrational! Hee.. so now I am off happy with lesser work load.

Apart from academic matters, research program for psychology is going to start very soon. I will very soon as well starting my job as a research assistant. Its always fun being one but I do hope working and gaining more experience will not affect my studies! Xian says I work better under stress.. since when is that true??? :P I got my third pay being a RA in NTU today, so happy and contented! I 'jia' Cy ice cream! wahahaha...

And I miss the other 3 Manic currently in US enjoying themselve! So jealous la!! :P Do take care ya!!

New Year Resolution...

I was confused once the semester started. Not being sure of what I am actually looking for and whether what I have achieved and done so far is what I really wanted! Its sad I know to suddenly reconsider if what I did was worth while. I always asked myself if this is not what I am doing then what will I be doing? No answer came to my mind. A few days ago, Cy showed me a motivational talk by Apple's CEO. He said that everyone should look into the mirror and reflect oneself by asking oneself if today is going to be your last day, will you do what you are going to do. Hmm.. That's difficult isn't it? If its my last day, I will not be going to school, I will not be in Singapore, and totally not going to be stressed out over the hills of readings! :D

While I was staring at the calendar, noticing how hectic this semester is going to be with all the quizzes falling on the week after CNY's week, I am so stressed!! It was so overwhelming that I stunned and confused! Is this how I want to live my life? Stress after stress chasing after strings of As that may not be very meaningful in future. :(

Hence, when its still Week 2 and still January 2008, I wish to set a new year resolution for myself. I hope to live my life to the fullest, try not to be easily stressed out ,and take things easy!

happy anniverssary!

Its the 13th of the month again and its a very special date. Cy always makes this day special! :D Its even more meaningful today because its the first 13 of year 2008. :) Thanks for the pretty rose and I promise never will again throw flower that you give to me k? Hehehe ..

I know most couple usually only celebrate anniversary every half a year or annually but we always make 13th of each month a memorable date! *smilez*

It is only week 1 ler~

Its only week 1 and I think the readings from the textbooks and articles are already mountaining! Yet, I am unable to start and set out the pace to catch up with any of those irritating workloads! I know many of you will think its just week 1 and think I must be nutz to start camping in library or the study room. Bleah... Its only week 1 but the fact is next week its week 2 and the entire semester only consist of 13 weeks! Alright, I am sure Im stressing many of you! But that's very true isn't it?

To make things worse, the kiasu me is going to challenge myself with 21 AUs that is 6 modules!!! Never in any of the semester I am taking over 20Aus! As a matter of fact, I think I am almost crazy!! The Id in me is asking me to drop Symmetry and crystal (Science PE) but the superego asked me to hold on to it or else I will suffer when Im in Year 4! *sighs* Worse of all, 5 out of 6 modules this semester requires presentations and reports!! I hate presentations and reports!! Haizz...

The lecturers this semester look harmless and nice people but they are actually very cruel!! Especially MM's gorgeous M! He is crazy! 30% for final, 30% midterm, 10% class participations and presentations and 30% for 6 quizzes on videos watched outside of class!! No idea why he try to kill us this way! T_T. Then Q bombard us with so many emails and announcement in Edventure! Can die..!!!

Oh ya, just to inform Ting and Qi, I watched Body 19 yesterday! Well, its scary and the twist of the movie is absolutely unbelievable! I think its quite nice~ But there are some parts that I close my face with both my hands and peep through my fingers! bleahh... In short, its a meaningful horror movie. :D

An angry boy

There was once a very angry boy. He gets angry over little things. One day, his father told to hammer a nail into the wall each time he gets angry. The angry boy did exactly what his father asked him to. He had to hammer the nail almost everyday. He feels that its very difficult to hammer the nail and its very energy consuming. Thus, he told his that about it and decided to change and not to be angry so easily. His father then told him to pull out each nail for everyday that he is not angry. He did as told. One fine day, he told his father that all the nails have been pulled out and said that he has learned not to be angry. His father looked at him as said, "Now that you have learned but the scars you left behind when you were angry can never be erased" as he pointed the holes on the wall.

First day of school~

First day of school, I started out with a class as early as 830am! It was damn difficult to force my eyes open to get ready for such early lecture! First time though in NTU Im having 830am lecture! Hehe... Normally, its the engine students and business students who are having such horrible time for class! T_T

4 hours for lecture was so boring! I hear but I dun listen! ><" What's the point being physically there huh? Its gonna be a tough sem, i know it but looking that the course outline yet, the lecturers dun seem to be like those who will stress people out! :(

Spent $80+ on text book today! So sim tia! Haiz.... Biopsych textbook looks interesting when there are many colourful pictures in it! but the Cognitive Developmental one look so boring! ZZZzzzzzzzz

Oh yes, I added on Science PE, Symmetry and Crystal after Xian's very much persuasion! I didnt see myself a very good Crystal lover or student! Hah! Hopefully it will be fun at least attending lexture with many people I know! :P

Alrite, I know I just type randomly on what happened today. That's because Im procratinating on beginning to do something more useful and prepare for the semester!! The truth is IM NOT PREPARED! *angry*

Julyn just need more more holiday! *sigh*

Hi everyone.. Sorry that if each time you open up my blog's site and see nothing new.. Hehe.. The reason that I didn't update was INTERNET CONNECTION BROKE DOWN! Its never because Im lazy k! :P

Btw, Im back in NTU and school starts this coming Monday T_T, I will be a full-time blogger again! Hehe..

Curently, Im lost in words after so long didnt blog and in the midst of pre-school reopens blues! Haiz.. Holiday was only 5 weeks and of course this hols, I enjoyed myself alot alot!! But it has came to an end! And the whole new semester is about to begin! :(
